UPPER ELEMENTARY ASSISTANT GUIDE:
Heather joined the Hillside community in October of 2024 as a Toddler Assistant Guide. She is currently working as the Upper Elementary Assistant Guide. Heather received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia and her Master’s
degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University. She is also Health and PE certified for grades PreK – 8th . Heather’s 19-year teaching career has included public, private, and non-profit educational experiences. She has always believed the principles of a Montessori education are how children learn best.Heather and her husband, Kenneth, have 3 children, a son, Corbin, and twin girls, Curry and Lillie. She enjoys spending time with her family, teaching group fitness, and going to the beach. Heather is thrilled to be a part of such a welcoming community that also is a wonderful place to work and learn.
