Jetta Ward is a retired teacher with 37 years of service. Her last 18 years were at LaGrange High School, where she was Marketing Education Coordinator and DECA Advisor. In addition, she taught Economics and Business Education at Clayton Junior College (Clayton State University), where she later became assistant comptroller.
Other experiences include Lockheed Training Department in Marietta, Cobb County School System, Chambers County School System and adjunct instruction at Auburn University and Southern Union. She earned her B.S.
in Business Administration and M.Ed. in Business Education at Auburn University. At the University of Georgia, she earned her Ed.S. in Marketing Education and ABD in Occupational Studies. Jetta is currently employed at Houze & Associates in LaGrange as an insurance agent and benefits counselor during State Health Benefit Open Enrollment period for Troup County Schools each fall. Jetta was born in LaGrange, Georgia, and grew up in Greenville, Georgia. She graduated in the top 20 of her Greenville High School graduating class (of course, there were only 20 in the senior class).
