PRIMARY ASSISTANT GUIDE:
Kersten has always had a love for children, learning, and teaching. She has three daughters, Adalyn, Audrey, and Ansley. In her free time, she loves to read and take walks to the lake with her 4 dogs and her daughters. Kersten has taken numerous classes in Early Childhood Care and Education at West Georgia Technical College. This is where she first learned of Montessori and fell in love with the concept. She immediately knew that was what she wanted for her future children.
Her first real experience with Montessori was not until she enrolled her oldest daughter, Adalyn, in FPC LaGrange Montessori in 2019. It was a wonderful experience for their family that was sadly interrupted by Covid. In 2021, she enrolled Adalyn in the Primary program at Hillside Montessori. Everyone fell in love with Adalyn and that feeling was greatly reciprocated. It was as if she had always been there. Kersten came to realize that it wasn’t only Adalyn who belonged at Hillside. She did as well. She is hoping to begin Montessori training in January as the first step to becoming a lead guide.
