MUSIC INSTRUCTOR & MAINTENANCE MANAGER:
Matt is a native of LaGrange. He and his wife Sheena have four wonderful children, Gardner and Magnolia who attend Hillside Montessori, Josie who attends Long Cane Middle School and Lola who attends LaGrange High School. Matt is a welder by trade and has been a musician his whole life. When his children started at Hillside Bethany mentioned the “Rock Band” class and asked if he would like to stop by and jam with the students sometime. So, he did and has been coming back ever since. He did tuition for two years in the music department and now he and Mr. Nik are the guides for “Rock Band.”
As he learns more about Montessori’s philosophies, he learns more about himself and how to pass on some of his knowledge and passion for music. In doing so he feels that he learns so much if not more from the students as they learn from him. It is truly a joy to work with these incredible students each day.
