TODDLER LEAD GUIDE:
Sophie discovered her love for Montessori education while working with young children and witnessing firsthand the confidence, independence, and love of learning that develop through a Montessori environment. She completed her Infant/Toddler Montessori Certification through the North American Montessori Center (NAMC) in 2025. Sophie has spent the past several years working with children both in Montessori classrooms and in private home settings as a nanny.
In the fall of 2026, Sophie will begin serving as the Lead Guide for the Toddler Sweetgum Community at Hillside Montessori. It is important to her to maintain a nurturing and engaging environment where children feel safe, capable, and inspired to explore the world around them.
Outside of school, Sophie enjoys spending time with her fiancé, James, and their two dogs, Banana and Bear. She also participates in local community theatre productions and is always finding random new hobbies to pick up. She is so grateful for the opportunity to support children and families during such an important stage of development and looks forward to building many wonderful relationships within the Hillside Montessori community.
